Nandghar Anganwadi,
Chauda Village, Silvassa

Sterling Generators renovated an Anganwadi centre in Chauda Village, located near our Silvassa factory, which provides education to over 120 students and focuses on improving the health and development of women.

The renovation project included civil work to improve the building's structure and the installation of new windows, doors, and other fittings. We built a new playground with fine sand and play equipment and a lawn around the premises. We also organised a tree plantation.

The formal inauguration of the renovated centre was done by Ms. Bhanu Prabha, Honourable Collector of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, in the presence of Ms. Namrata Parmar, Deputy Director of Education. During the event, drawing books, crayons, and sweets were distributed to all the students. This renovation project has undoubtedly contributed to improving the education and health of the students and women in the Chauda Village community.

Impact: With welcoming infrastructure and a mid-day meal scheme, students aged 1 to 6 years avoid missing school and regularly attend classes. The initiative will also impact the upcoming generations. The Anganwadi is also a key centre for pregnant ladies, anaemic women, and other training programs.
