The Volkswagen plant in Chakan occupies a total area of over 2.3 million square metres (575 Acres), with buildings covering about 115 thousand sq. mt., which means, the total premises is 2x1 kilometres.

Engaged 3500 people for building the plant with a total investment of INR 3800 Crores (580 million Euros) by Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd, which is the largest investment by a German company in India till date.

The plant is one of the most modern in Volkswagen Group and is also one of the few environment friendly manufacturing plant around the area. It has high level of vertical integration and large share of local suppliers. The facility is the only production plant operated by German automaker in India which uses futuristic designed state-of-the-art equipment.

Our Scope of work:
The project was completed in multi phases and spread over a period of almost two years, comprising of Sanitary Wares, CP Fittings, Sewage System, Water Supply System with PE Pipes, Valves, Pumps, SS Piping, Utility Piping for Hot Water, Natural gas, Compressed Air, Industrial Water, Storage Tanks, Plate Heat Exchangers etc.
