The company supplies gearboxes to the world’s major manufacturers of gear-driven wind turbines and provides durable gear drives for a wide range of industrial applications throughout the world.

Hansen Drives operates a state of the art, fully integrated gearbox manufacturing facility dedicated to the wind turbine generator market, and employs approximately 350 people. In terms of production, assembly, and testing, this entails operating sophisticated CNC machines, an in-house heat treatment facility and test rigs to test and validate gearboxes.

The manufacturing facility, which will make gearboxes for wind turbines in the 1.5-3.0 MW range, is coming up within Suzlon-promoted Hi-tech Engineering Special Economic Zone near Coimbatore.
